For Standard Searches:

 

  1. Select the city in which you want your search.

 

  1. Select the area of the city which you want to see. You can choose by neighborhood, voting district, entire city, or type in a complete address e.g. 7426 Hubbard Ave, Middleton, WI 53562.

 

 

 

 

  1. Select the type of activity you want to see.

 

  1. Choose a date range. There are time frames in the drop-down menu or you can select a custom date range search.

To search for accident reports all of the following information is required.

 

1. Date of accident

 

  1. The last name of one of the involved drivers

 

  1. The license plate of one of the involved vehicles

 

Definitions:

 

Accident: is an occurrence that originates or terminates on a traffic way, which involves at least one motor vehicle in transport, and results in any of the following:

 

 

    1. Injury or fatality of a person

    2. Total damage to one person’s property to an apparent extent of $1000 or more

    3. Damage to government-owned property to an apparent extent of $200 or more, except government-owned vehicles, which are $1000.

 

Self report accident: an accident, which may or may not be reportable under Wisconsin Statutes, that is not immediately reported to the department. A self report accident is one in which the involved parties leave the scene without notifying the department, an officer is not dispatched to the scene and one or both parties later report the accident.
